Four Stages of the Mastery Teaching Pathway

  1. 01 Foundation: Building basic skills and delivering them with fidelity.
  2. 02 Proficient: Enhancing delivery of practices and delivering them to mastery.
  3. 03 Accomplished: Sharing knowledge and skills, coaching and collaborating, and completing tasks independently.
  4. 04 Lead: Delivering exemplary practice, influencing peers and taking responsibility for delivery.
Professional Development for Teacher Registration

Professional Development for Teacher Registration

Teachers can complete any eight modules to fulfil the 20 hours of professional development set by each Australian state and territory. Teachers just need to submit eight of the Certificate of Completions to their respective agency.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Some school team members may already have undertaken professional learning like GGSA professional learning and may also have significant years perfecting that experience in schools.

If you feel that have such experience, you can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) with GGSA. You will need to demonstrate that you can master the range of practices associated with your role.

High-quality professional learning strengthens practice, builds repertoire and improves student outcomes.

A professional learning plan is customised for a specific role and shows the learning modules best undertaken to master that role with suggested achievement targets and timeframes.

School-wide learning unifies the whole school community around a coherent agenda. Colleagues share and collaborate which optimises school improvement.

When educators refine their instructional techniques and apply learning with fidelity, students experience stronger engagement, accelerated progress and sustained academic growth.

Your progress is tracked through your Learning Plan, which outlines modules, milestones and certification.

Learning Plans are updated to reflect role changes and to include new modules.

Accreditation is achieved by completing GGSA modules and demonstrating mastery through evidence. You receive a certificate for every module completed.

Increased capability to master your role and ability to put your newfound knowledge and skills into practice. Certification and accreditation that enhances your career opportunities and could increase your remuneration.

Once you have completed the GGSA certification your Evidence Folio is passed on to the institution delivering the qualification and they assess you for the full RPL. Then just complete their other requirements of the qualification.

This pathway validates your expertise and demonstrates your capability which positions you for more experienced roles and ability to develop new expertise.

You receive ongoing support from the GGSA team, access to collegial professional learning, principal coaching and mentoring opportunities, and collaboration forums. Live consultations can be booked at any stage of the pathway for guidance and support.
